Used Vessels

Whether a vessel is required for the brewing, soft drinks, chemical or food industries, strict requirements must be met. Following the introduction of the Pressure Equipment Directive (PED) suppliers cannot simply cut and weld a vessel without considering its original design and the intended use of the modified vessel.

Demand for High Quality
Add to this the requirements of BS5500, ASME VIII, and the ATEX Directive
(which deals with hazardous environments) and it soon becomes clear that tank modification has to be approached in a professional and dedicated manner.

Design Team
To meet these requirements, we carry out all work
in full accordance with both our documented Quality Assurance system and to manufacturing drawings produced by our experienced in house design team.

Our Stock
We stock vessels that have previously been used, and designed for use, in industries such as
brewing, pharmaceutical, chemical and food, so our stock range will suit most customer requirements.  These stocks usually include

  • Bulk storage vessels (stainless steel / mild steel / GRP)
  • Fermentation vessels
  • Bright beer tanks
  • Cellar tanks
  • Brew houses
  • Mixing vessels (Including contra rotating, scrape sided)
  • Powder silos
  • Process vessels
  • Micro breweries
  • Horizontal vessels

Our Standards
By strictly adhering to these standards and working practices, we can supply used modified vessels at a fraction of the cost of new. We also sell tanks in an ‘as seen’ condition ex-stock, and can modify vessels in an average of only four weeks – so we constantly beat our competitors’ new manufactured tanks on both price and delivery, without sacrificing quality or suitability for service to the brewing, beverage, pharmaceutical and chemical industries. We also supply fibreglass and mild steel tanks.
