The government now enforces legislation that prevents companies sending food waste and organic material to landfill, unless the material has been previously treated to conform to set criteria.

After successfully installing and operating its own Aerobic Digestion Plant at its Rossington site, (see video below)Tanks and Vessels now concentrates on supplying similar plants to third parties. The company's plant was accredited by DEFRA in 2004 and was able to process CAT 3 animal by products waste and various other organic materials, producing a popular soil enhancer/conditioner.

Further development of the end product now means that Tanks and Vessels can also supply fertiliser manufacturing plants in conjunction with the Aerobic Digestion plants depending upon customer requirements, producing valuable semi organic fertilisers for use in the Horticultural and agricultural industries.

All plants supplied are bespoke and designed to accommodate customer's facilities and requirements and Tanks and Vessels personnel remain with the customer until they obtain the appropriate DEFRA accreditation.
